初一学生英语口语表达能力的培养 第3篇

一、用英语组织教学

英语教师应该用英语组织课堂教学。一方面有利于向学生提供说英语的示范,便于学生开口模仿,另一方面有利于激发学生说英语的欲望,养成用所学语言交际的习惯。可能对初一的学生来说,刚开始时会不太习惯,也听不懂,需要教师的中文翻译。但教师要有恒心,一定要坚持说下去,例如课堂用语:“Please listen carefully!”“Do you understand?”“Look at the blackboard.”“Never mind.”等。学生长期在这些简短的习惯用语中听说,久而久之,就会很自然地运用到真实的交际生活中去。因此,教师要不断地反复地输入信息,营造一个良好的语言环境。

二、加强课堂口语活动的设计

英语是一门语言,任何语言都是通过不断说的实践而形成的,教师要精心设计多种形式的课堂口语活动,多给学生创造开口说英语的实践机会。

(一)模仿朗读

学习任何语言都是从机械地模仿到自然地应用,想让学生乐说,首先必须让他们会说。模仿朗读是学习语言过程中必需的阶段。因此我要求初一学生每天要模仿磁带朗读。尽量模仿磁带里的语音、语调、节奏等,这样能使学生语音语调纯正,表达流畅。在反复模仿朗读的基础上,学生巩固了英语基本知识,也为说的活动打下坚实的基础。

(二)课前5分钟

每节英语课前利用5分钟的时间让学生进行Free Talk。话题不限,学生可以联系实际,如自我介绍、介绍朋友、猜谜语、讲笑话、表演对话等。坚持在全班范围内按序号轮流进行,人人参与,让每位学生都有展示自己口语能力的平台。就如学生在学完了新目标英语七年级下Unit 4:“I Want to Be an Actor.”之后,很自然地想到自己将来的职业。我发现接下来那几天的课前5分钟,学生都纷纷介绍自己喜欢的职业,并对这份职业进行描述。

要注意的是,在学生演讲过程中,不要太注重一些细节问题,不要随时打断学生的话题,只要他们的语音语调基本正确,表达流畅,能明白内容即可。相信只要持之以恒,学生的英语口语表达能力就一定能够逐渐增强。

(三)角色表演

初一英语教材的内容多是对话形式,且图文并茂,内容贴近学生生活,富有趣味性,很适合学生进行角色扮演。如新目标英语七年级上Unit 7 Section A,在学了3a之后,我要求学生仿照原对话,一人扮演顾客,另一人扮演服务员,发挥想象力表演新的对话。学生表演得惟妙惟肖,在真实的语境中,既感受到了英语的魅力,又提高了英语口头表达能力。

(四)小组讨论

为了培养学生用英语进行交流的主动性,在学完新课后给学生提供一些与课文内容相关的话题,让学生以小组为单位进行讨论,这不仅增加了学生口语练习的机会,还能促使学生积极思考、集思广益。如新目标英语七年级上Unit 7我在本单元的最后一个课时中提出了一个问题让学生讨论:If yourgroup has a Clothes Store, how to make an ad in order to make asale?这个问题联系实际生活,引发了学生的兴趣,每个小组成员畅所欲言,各抒己见。对于那些性格内向、心理素质较差的学生来说,这也是实践口语表达的好机会。

三、激发学生口语表达兴趣

对于初一的学生来说,教师不必过于强调其语言的准确性,应着力培养学生对口语表达的兴趣,这样会大大减轻他们的心理压力,让他们在课堂上敢说、乐说。为此,教师可充分利用教材内容,精心设计活动,如小品表演、抢答竞赛、游戏等。如新目标英语七年级下Unit 7 Section A中,我设计了这样一个游戏:Describe someone in the class.Ask your classmates to guess who you’re describing.此游戏立即引起了学生的极大兴趣。学生兴奋地描述着:

S1:This person is of medium height and a little bit heavy.She has long straight hair.She wears jeans.

S2:This person is of tall and thin.He has short black hair.He likes wearing a T-shirt.

在描述与猜测的过程中,不仅巩固了本单元的语言知识目标,而且给了学生一个口语表达的机会,让学生学其知、得其乐。

另外,教师要对学生的口语表达给予及时、充分的肯定和鼓励,以调动学生开口说英语的积极性,在实践中树立学好英语的自信心。

四、开展丰富多彩的课外活动

课外活动是英语课堂教学的延伸和补充,既可以提高英语口语水平,又可以拓宽学生的视野,扩充学生的词汇量,激发学生说英语的兴趣。如英语朗读比赛、演讲比赛、讲故事比赛、英语歌曲比赛等,这些都是训练口语的好机会,教师要把他们和课内的学习有机地结合起来,让学生在真实的语境中得到实践,培养语感,学以致用。

五、培养学生的跨文化交流能力

口语表达能力的培养不能脱离社会语言文化的培养。我们在用英语进行交流的时候,就应该自觉地运用英语文化语言习惯所允许的口语表达方式使用语言。因此我在对初一学生的口语实践教学中很重视文化的熏陶,如西方人往往对别人的称赞能愉快接受并致以谢意。A:Your skirt is very beautiful, I like it.B:Thank you very much.又如,在问路时要说“Excuse me.”,不小心碰到别人时说“I am sorry.”等。

总之,英语口语能力的培养是一项长期、艰苦的工作。需要课内课外多听、多读、多说、多实践。教师应尽量创造各种条件,为学生英语口语表达能力的培养提供更广阔的空间。

作为初中英语教育基层工作者,对于初中英语的教学现状有较为深刻的认识。我国对英语教学的重视程度有目共睹,尤其是对初中阶段的口语教育,提出了更高的要求。

一、初一英语口语教学现状

1、缺乏语言环境。

初中英语教学普遍存在“哑巴英语”的情况。作为一门语言学科,只有不断的练习,才能娴熟的运用,但是在初中阶段,学生缺乏语言环境来训练口语,没有说英语的氛围。

2、教师口语水平普遍偏低。

目前我国初中英语教师的口语水平普遍不高,很多教师本身口语就不流利、不标准,不能给学生树立正面例子,使学生落入“无声英语”的困境。

3、班级人数过多。

我国教育资源一直紧张,每个班级的人数过多,即使有英语口语的训练课,也不能让每个学生都得到开口实践说英语的机会,这不利于初一学生的口语起步训练。

4、对口语重视程度不足。

鉴于长期的升学压力和单纯对分数的要求,使得教师、家长和学生都对口语的重视程度不够,认为口语能力只是“锦上添花”,只有得到高分才是最重要的。长此以往,教学重点发生偏差,学生想要锻炼口语能力难上加难。

5、心理因素障碍。

由于英语基本功不够扎实、性格内向、羞于表达等原因,很多学生从主观上就不愿意说英语,对于口语训练产生畏惧心理。时间一长,就形成了不同程度的心理障碍。这是初中英语口语教学中遇到的最大难题之一。

二、初一英语口语训练起步教学建议

1、营造良好的口语练习氛围。

良好的语言氛围,对于口语训练至关重要。在课堂上,我时常引导学生,我们之所以能熟练的掌握汉语的运用,就是因为我们置身于这样的大环境之中,每天都用汉语交流,都与汉语接触。学习英语是一样的道理,因此就要为学生创造良好的学习英语的氛围。例如,课堂的教学用语尽量都用英文进行表述;引导学生们用英语来回答问题和进行互动;定期举办英语沙龙等口语活动;每天让学生们摘抄一句英文的名人名言;利用早自习和课前的几分钟播放英文歌曲、英文电影等。这些措施都可以帮助营造良好的语言环境,使学生们耳濡目染,沉浸在英语的世界中。

2、口语教学内容源于教材,也要高于教材。

初一英语教材是口语训练起步教学的最基本的教学材料,其中很多日常对话都非常常用,并且涵盖范围很广泛。但是人教版新目标初一英语教材也存在很多问题,比如对话内容较少,所选题材相对死板,不能与时俱进,对口语的训练强度和适用能力不够。这就要求教师在口语教学时,要以课本为依据,但是需要适当的扩展,丰富教学内容,提高初一学生的口语能力。

很多时候,安排单独的英语口语课是非常困难的,在初一口语训练起步阶段,教师要先将口语教学穿插进课文讲解的过程中,针对课文的内容与学生进行反复对话,进行双边互动学习。再要求学生进行小组间合作的方式,进行互相练习。学生在熟悉了基本的单词、短语和句子的基础上,再来锻炼口语能力。这样不但完成了常规的教学要求,同时也锻炼了学生的英语学习能力和应用能力。

例如,在七年级上册Unit 3 中,这个单元中的主要句型包括“Is it your ……?”“Yes, it is /No, it isn’t. ”“ Are these your ……? ”“Yes, they are./No ,they aren’t.”这些都是最基本的句型。在课堂教学中,教师可以利用身边的教具,向学生提问,让学生们以小组形式进行回答。还可以同桌、前后桌相互对话训练,在机械的重复中夯实知识,形成语感。接下来,教师可以将句型进行扩展,“Is this your mother?”,由物及人,拓展知识深度。在扩展结束后,进行对比总结,让学生们形成清晰的知识体系。

3、培养学生讲英语的习惯。

初一英语的口语起步教学,不仅仅能提高学生的英语能力、学习思维,也有助于学生的人格培养。在英语口语教学中,既包含个体的单独训练,也包括群体训练。这就使学生置于一个团体的环境中,有利于学生协作能力、沟通能力和表达能力的提升。在不同的情景中用不同的礼貌用语,提高学生的情商,养成讲文明、懂礼貌的好习惯。
